Each day my Mum drops me off
and we walk up the path in the wood towards Peartree block. I drop
my bag outside my classroom and go out to break. When we come in I
put my hat and coat on the peg and go into our classrooms and our
form teacher takes morning register. We also hand in any letters or
forms from home and of course our homework.
Every morning we have an assembly, which is either a house assembly, assembly or a prep school assembly. In the assembly we sing hymns and different teachers read us stories that teach us about different things. My favourites are Aesop's Fables. We also find out who has won the merit badge and different awards.
We then go out to break and
some pupils who have brought in some money can buy hot chocolate,
toast, snacks and water. When we have finished our goodies we can
go and have a run around and play in the playground. There is lots
of equipment to play on, such as French skipping, football and
basketball nets as well as other balls to keep us fit. Mr Bentley
has kindly built us an obstacle course and this is one of our
favourite things to play on.
After we have had a good run around we go back into the classroom and start the lessons of the day. These might be English, Science or Maths. These are the longest lessons of the day and we have two before lunch. At lunchtime we go into the dining room where we are able to choose between hot or cold lunches. The food is healthy and tasty. Each day there is something different to pick. My favourites are chips (which we only have on Fridays) and roasts which we usually have on Wednesdays.
After lunch we can go and play out again or if we have an activity like Judo or other sports we go off to them after we have told the teacher where we are going.
In the afternoon we return to
our classroom and we either have Art (which I love) or Geography or
History (which I love as well, because I like listening to stories
from long ago). After all these lessons we have another break which
is the shortest as we are eager to get back to one of the best
parts of the day, e3. In e3 we choose from crafts and art, chess,
sports and dancing. These activities are such fun and are a lovely
way to round off an enjoyable and interesting day at school.
We then have the afternoon register and collect our hats and coats to wait for our Mums. We then line up and wait for the people who are getting the bus to be marked off before we are allowed to be handed over to our Mum.
