A distinguished past - a successful future
In April 2007 Kingswood
College Trust acquired the business of operating Kingswood College
from GEMS (Global Educational Management Systems) ready to face the
educational challenges of the 21st Century.
The Trust will continue to place the highest value on the
maintenance and further improvement of standards so that all who
have a stake in the future of the school - governors, parents,
staff and pupils - will have confidence in what is being offered.
Building upon the distinguished past the Trust has the opportunity
to prepare pupils for life, combining a far sighted approach to the
ever-challenging educational needs with the traditional values
which mould the individual character. These values may be age old,
but are still relevant today.
Developments since the acquisition of the school by the
Charitable Trust in March 2007 include:
- Refurbishment of Infant / Junior school;
- new toilet / washroom facilities;
- new ICT suite;
- improved technology in classrooms;
- installation of Virtual Learning Environment;
- refurbishment of gymnasium;
- refurbishment of Senior School English, Humanities and MFL facilities;
- upgrading of central heating system;
- new playground equipment;
- new mini-bus
